CHARLOTTE, N.C. (June 23, 2008) – NASCAR's Drive for Diversity's Kristin Bumbera and Paul Harraka swept the two 75-lap features that comprised the AT&T Rumblin' Roseville Late Model 150 Saturday night at All American Speedway in Roseville, Calif.
Bumbera scored her first NASCAR Whelen All-American Series win in the first race, while Harraka earned his fourth victory this year in the second.
"It's great to get this first NASCAR win for my team and all of my sponsors," Bumbera said. "Car owner Frank Jordan and all of the guys at Golden State Racing have been great to work with and we've had awesome support from the Drive for Diversity program, TXI, and Riverside Cement."
Bumbera dominated the first 75-lap event in her No. 00 TXI/Riverside Cement Chevrolet. She qualified fourth out of 22 cars and started on the pole after a four-car invert. Bumbera never relinquished the lead, taking a 3.855-second victory. Bumbera also won the fast car "trophy dash" event.
Harraka, who finished fifth in the first race, started second in the second 75-lap feature. He worked his way into the lead, then hung on for a narrow 0.539-second victory in the No. 16 Ruth's Chris Steakhouse Camry.
"It was a great night for us and for the Drive for Diversity program," Harraka said. "D4D definitely dominated out here tonight, and I'm glad we were able to be part of it and get another win for Bill McAnally Racing and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse."
Bumbera was credited with a 16th-place finish in the second event after breaking a pinion gear in the rear end and retiring to the garage.
Harraka is third in the All American Speedway point standings, while Bumbera is sixth. Both will return to the track next weekend for the Toyota Late Model 100 at All American Speedway.
