I am lucky to have witnessed drag racing from the 50's on.

The 60's was a special time for the sport, the rule books were thin, innovation ruled, and there were dozens of different cars in each class.

AA/FA race cars defied every physics law known to man! I will never forget them! You had to be there!

Watching "Wild Willy" drive down the strip with one hand on the steering wheel and one wheel on the ground defined what drag racing was.

We built the race cars in our garages. If you did not have a part you made one!

Kick the new Corvette to the curb and put the race car in the garage! I miss that Corvette!
