Hopefully it is OK if I post this, not sure about copyrights etc, so if it is a no-no someone please remove it for me. Here is a link to an article that DV wrote for "stock Car Racing" magazine. He basically says that the reduced weight (moment of inertia) is good for more HP as the rotating assembly accelerates but will show no increase in power at a steady speed. This would seem to make sense but, unless I am mistaken, he has data to go with the general idea.

I wonder though if the $750 could be spent somewhere else. Its not that we can't spend that much but that $ vs Gain seem low. I would think a lightened transmission, or gears or other pieces of the drivetrain would be give the same results and can't be claimed for $400.
