Newman's 'Pit Road Pets' Book Signing To Benefit Richmond SPCA

RICHMOND, Va. (Aug. 28, 2007) — Ryan Newman will appear in the Green Flag Zone fan hospitality area at Richmond International Raceway on Sept. 8, prior to the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race.

In addition to a question-and-answer session, Newman will sign autographs for fans who purchase a copy of "Pit Road Pets: NASCAR Stars and Their Pets", a book featuring the pets of NASCAR drivers and personalities.

The $25 book will be available for purchase in the Green Flag Zone with all sales benefiting the Richmond Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The first 100 fans who bring or purchase the book will be allowed to have Newman autograph the book, as well as one additional item. Each individual must have or purchase a copy of "Pit Road Pets" to receive an autograph at the book signing.

In addition to Newman, Richard Petty, Hermie Sadler and the rock band Daughtry will appear in the Green Flag Zone.

The Green Flag Zone fan hospitality is a fan-favorite and offers a unique VIP experience, which also includes:
• Exclusive pre-race pit pass 2-5 p.m., time and weather permitting.
