Junior's numbers game could land on 38
Robert Yates Racing has asked NASCAR if they can transfer the #38 to Hendrick Motorsports for Dale Earnhardt Jr to use in the 2008 season.
There has also been rumors about the #83 of Red Bull Racing to be given to Hendrick Motorsports. Negotiations between Earnhardt and DEI owner Teresa Earnhardt officially came to a close when Jr said his stepmother made "ridiculous demands" that he would have to agree to in order for him to keep the #8.
