What Converter To Use?

I didnt know where to place this.
Getting ready for my 406 engine install.
I got a TCI breakaway torque converter in the car nowhooked up to a TH350
gives me 2400 flash stall
works great with my 383 and still takes off like a scalded dog.
Now I also have a TCI street fighter torque converter with advertized 3000 flash stall.
Now with my 406 should i just stay with the breakaway torque converter or step up to the streetfighter?
I dont drag the car but do like to play around and the cam starts making power and torque around 2200 rpm.
which would you chose and why?

Of the two I would choose the 3000 stall converter. To explain why I'll use
the graft below. The combination is not an exact match to yours but the point
can be made regardless.

In the graft look at the dead area between 3750 and 4250 RPM. For best
acceleration for straight line performance, I always choose a converter
above this dead area, for the example below I would choose no less than
4500 stall.

Your power band will be lower with ~10 degrees less camshaft duration. My
choice would be 3500 stall minimum assuming maximum acceleration is the
goal. This is base on zero wheel spin.

Specs on engine in graft below
408CI
AFR CNC heads
10.5/1 CR
Comp Street roller 248/252 at 50
Holley Strip Dominator

Building a dual purpose car is a full of compromises, 3500 stall is not a problem
on the street as long as fuel efficiency is not a concern. Getting the engine
into the RPM range instantly is the key to good 1/4 mile ET. Otherwise MPH
will reflect engine performance but ET will be disappointing.

Converter

As this is a street car the 3000 stall converter will work fine.

To extract maximum performance at the strip a higher stall speed converter may be needed.

I do not like cruising on the street with a loose converter.

You do have some fine rides!

Ive got a switch pitch converter that is modified for 3000 stall when switched. The good part is that I can turn it off wile street driving.
