  • Tony Stewart's Old Spice Toyota was the quickest for that manufacturer. He recorded a 27.958-second, 175.892-mph lap to grab the third starting position.

  • Rounding out the top 10 are: David Stremme, Chevrolet; Kyle Busch, Toyota; Jeff Burton, Chevrolet; Mike Bliss, Chevrolet; Matt Kenseth, Ford; David Ragan, Ford; and Kelly Bires, Ford.

  • Leading the Dodge contingent was rookie Bryan Clauson, who was 11th quickest. His Fastenal Dodge was clocked at 28.258 seconds, 174.025 mph.
