I have run the M/T ET street tires on my Camaros with good success.
The only down side being they don't last very long. Are you planning
on doing any drag racing?

I've driven many miles in generation one Camaros, in production form they are
not very good at handling. The front sub frame is attached spongy rubber
mounts. In addition the brakes are poor, 67 & 68 had four wheel drums,
69 upgraded to front discs.

Because of the popularity the aftermarket has everything needed for complete
upgrade.

mine handles fair in the corners (though i intend to do straight line running. I guess you didnt notice the frontrunners on the front )
I got solid body mounts and poly motor and tranny mounts.
I replaced my brakes all around with 2 piston calipers in the front and 11" drums in the rear.
youll see a bit more in my short movie
