Update on Lewis Hamilton's crash in Bahrain

It has been confirmed by both Renault and McLaren that the accident involving Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso in Sunday's F1 race in Bahrain, was caused by a failure of the McLarens' front wing just prior to the incident.

Telementary on the Renault confirmed Alonso accelerated normally out of the turn and data from the McLaren showed that the front wing failed moments before the incident. This would have reduced the drag on the McLaren causing it to unexpectedly accelerate.

hmm, or , if their two telemetry clocks were set slightly diferently ,the wing failed just after the impact .
another point , as close as he was to alonzo , i dont feel the wing was doing much in the way of downforce related drag.
i think f1 has a desire to reduce the political conflict between teams and so write this off as a no foul . im not convinced .

regards robert
