Is that not what a plenum does? In my case I have small plenum's with siamese runners along with the big plenum area. Just get the length of the intake runner track to the correct length for the harmonic and rpm you want to run.

Any way of doing this easily and for a certain rpm?

Wouldn't an intake TERMINATION BOX be called a cylinder? or would it be the intake bowl expansion area?

I mean, by definition it is a sudden significant expansion of the tube.
A decending piston is certainly a significant expansion.

(OK, just pulling your chain)

Actually, if you look at many newer cars, you will see that many have tuned boxes in the inlet ducting prior to the plenum. Some are located prior to (or at) the air filter, and some are located prior to the throttle body. Some even use several boxes.

A Helmholtz Chamber = used primarily for sound suppression and also air resonance tuning that can affect the torque curve of an engine.

Cat13 has got it! A Helmholtz Resonator 'box' designed around existing induction tracts or vice-versa, depending on one's desire to construct a specific induction as a function of the desired/useful rpm band. Yes...... DV has covered some of this in his publications. Dave
