a better oil for F/T cams?

hi guys i would like to ask your opinions on what is a good oil for flat tappet cams, as alot of oil companys are pulling the zinc out of their oils. what can i use? thanks paul.

I'd suggest you call the cam manufacturers and ask them what they recommend. Also, you need to be aware of the valve spring pressures they recommend for the cam your using. Too much spring pressure will flatten the cam in a short time.

Get on Google and do a search for "engine oil". Be prepared to do a lot of reading since there's a lot of info there. Then you can make your own decision.

Have you seen Davids oil article Hydraulic roller race oil - what's it worth???

Feb 2007 Car Craft did an article that stated as of 2006, Q racing oil had 1960 ppm and Shell Rotella-T diesel had 1400 ppm. The new 2007 CJ-4 would be reduced in zinc levels.
I guess its time we demand oil makers start putting an ingrediance and a daily nutritional balance % label on their containers if they plan on genetically altering our engines food source.
