Tall Lifters

Who makes the tallest (pushrod cup to camshaft wear surface) lifters of both (flat and roller) types (solid and hydraulic) which are .842 in main body diameter ?

Nick....... I successfully use the Crower 'Hi-Seat' solid-roller lifter with HIPPO roller pin oiling in my SBC. This allows me to use a Smith Bros. pushrod that is only about 6.7" long, with my stand/shaft rocker system. Much less pushrod flex. They also have a Rev-Kit spring 'button' at the Hi-Seat that I use with their Rev-Kit. The Hi-Seats are available in either .842" Chev or .874" Ford diameters. I haven't had a single problem with the setup. -Dave-

Putting them in a caddy motor are you?

If you end up to big and then need an off the shelf pushrod (mild build) for a slightly shorter adjustment, try ford 300 six pushrods or even a bit shorter 300 six for milled heads (napa).

BBFiero .. Thanks Matt for the push rod trick.

Nick .. As you may know, Isky offers a tall body alum top lifter in .842.

Is that an all Aluminum lifter, or Steel on the wear surface, and Aluminum above it ?
