601 sbc heads

David have you ever tried the 601 305 heads on a cheep 350 build?

It looks to have the same chamber shape as the old double humps.

305 SBC heads leave much on the table in comparison to aftermarket heads.

A person paying to machine and set up 305 SBC heads may find that aftermarket heads are a better investment.

Yes I under stand this. But what I was getting at was to find a pair that did not need
guides and do just bare bones valve job and may be surface them. This would be way cheaper than any new heads.
There are literally tons of them in the junk yards.
