David have you ever tried the 601 305 heads on a cheep 350 build?

Yes I under stand this. But what I was getting at was to find a pair that did not need
guides and do just bare bones valve job and may be surface them. This would be way cheaper than any new heads. There are literally tons of them in the junk yards. old blue 75
