Holley secondary problem?

On my 750 dp'er, the secondary throttle blades (at full throttle) direct the mixture towards the front of the engine, as they over-travel. Designed to correct for a deficiency or a problem? TIA

At full throtle they should be square with the base plate, this requires bending the secondary linkage to correct the over shoot of the blades.
