Darin is talking about port flow cfm per square inch of valve area at a great depression.

Flow Specialist,

You sure know how to rattle a manufactures cage (I just love that). Looks to me like I should call Dynomax (walker) and ask for corrections on their flow figures. I have worked with this company in the past and know there chief engineer well. A dedicated guy for sure. Bet he does not know they ( who ever does the catalog) have the wrong flow #'s.

Once more the eagle eye of Flow Specialist strikes a bulls eye.

Thanks Dave for your good work here.

PS maybe it's close to time to do an exhaust series ------

another manufacture that you cant get a straight answer from is spintech. they are telling me that my spintech muffler thats flows 391cfm is good enough for my motor that im guessing makes about 320-330 at the motor. (this was in my previous post).

an exhaust series would be great!

btw i purchased a 3" in/out dynomax bullet muffler to put on the end of my y-pipe to get my flow back that that spintech is robbing from me.

Hehehe, that is why I did not put the Spintech muffler on my car that came with my 3.5" Mufflex cat back. I went with a Magnaflow 3.5" straight through style muffler.

I agree David another exhaust article would be great including termination boxes which I'm going to try out. Another item of interest might be the chambered mufflers. I saw one and the inside diameter was smaller than the entrance diameter. That has to hurt flow. Saw one that has dimples sticking out into the airflow. That can not help things flow wise.

definitely agree on the chambered style mufflers. i dont see why they are such the rage when they are pretty much crimped glasspacks. they cant flow that good by the time you get past all the louvers(sp.?)
