Alcohol 406 SBC

Hi gang, I'm looking into building my first alcohol motor, a 406 SBC

Can you recommend a good book (or books) about alcohol motors?

I want to run without a cooling system. Will a short fill and plug the deck be ok? Or will I need to fill the whole block? Weight is a factor...

Also, I want to put this motor on nitrous. Can I just run N2O with more alcohol or do I need to shoot some gasoline in with the nitrous?

TIA

Pick a compression ratio and cam combo that keeps you above 200psi. cranking compression.

If it's a stock block I would fill it to the bottom of the waterpump holes, deck plus should give it more strength, ??, i've never run em.

You will need a gas Nitrous system for an alcohol motor.

Maybe David will chime in on cam and comp.

Thanks, so I will need two separate fuel tanks, one for alky and one for gasoline when I am using the nitrous

That would be my thoughts, based on past exp. with N.O.S. and former Top Gun companys.

I would contact a tec rep. for the system you choose and see what they say before buying alot of stuff you don't need.
