James Buescher; Win-Tron Racing Look For Presence At Cayuga

HAGERSVILLE, ONTARIO (June 24, 2008) -- After spending time competing in NASCAR's Nationwide and Camping World series, James Buescher returns to the ARCA RE/MAX Series with Win-Tron Racing, looking for career win No. 2 in Sunday’s Cayuga ARCA RE/MAX 250 at Cayuga Motor Speedway.

A year and three months since his first career ARCA RE/MAX Series victory at USA International Speedway, Buescher looks to rekindle the magic flame and continue Win-Tron’s impressive turnaround in the 10th event this season.

"It will be an interesting race," Buescher said. "This is a new track for me, a new track for this Win-Tron team, and it will definitely be a learning process the entire weekend. Mike [Chaffee, crew chief] is optimistic about our car, so it should be fun to come back to ARCA and see if we get ourselves a win."

Even with one race under his belt in 2008, Buescher is quick to point out the extreme competitiveness in the ARCA RE/MAX Series versus last year. He expects the same at Cayuga.

“The ARCA RE/MAX Series has been notorious for being competitive for the last two years, but this season has been unbelievable,” Buescher said. “You literally don’t have any room for error this year or it could put you well out of the top 10. It’s good for the ARCA RE/MAX Series and I believe it’s helped Win-Tron Racing become an even better team. As a driver, I just have to be more prepared and continue to give 150 percent when I climb behind the wheel.”

Chaffee is taking chassis No. 052 to Cayuga Motor Speedway. This automobile is the same piece Andy Hanson controlled at Toledo Speedway last month. Hanson, in his RE/MAX Series debut for Minnesota’s Win-Tron Racing, netted a track record ARCA SIM Factory pole before finishing eighth. Hanson also led 31 laps. Buescher now has his first try with chassis No. 052, and he hopes to make it two poles in the last four races.

Win-Tron Racing’s Nate Thiesse offered his thoughts on handing the wheel to Buescher for Cayuga Motor Speedway.

“It’s always a pleasure to have a talented driver like James Buescher behind the wheel of our race car,” Thiesse said. “He has developed and matured so much within the past year that he has really made a fine name for himself.”

Entering Cayuga, Win-Tron Racing sits 14th in the ARCA RE/MAX Series owner standings after nine races. Twenty-five points separate car owner Kevin Cywinski from the 13th position held by Andy Hillenburg [No. 11].

Mercedes Homes, Win-Tron Racing Driver Development and Red Line Oil will sponsor Buescher’s Dodge Charger this weekend at Cayuga Motor Speedway.

The Cayuga ARCA RE/MAX 250 is the 10th of 21 events on the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule.
