Over the years I had slowly come to the realization that the trade-off between atomization/vaporization for good combustion vs. the negative effect on volumetric efficiency due to the air displacement effect of too much fuel vaporization outside the cylinder was impacted by carburetor characteristics, fuel distillation curve, induction air temperature and manifold heat, but now it is revealed that combustion chamber attributes are of equal or greater import!
